The Legendary Stardust Cowboy " Rock-it to stardom" , Amazing Records/Virgin, AM-LSC999,1984.
_ A little story from Ledge's fan #1:
"In early 1971, Mercury executive Ron Oberman... furterly pressed a couple of singles into my hand. "Play these", he said,"you will never be the same again." Back home , I chocked on Paralysed, gasped in awe at Down in the wrecking yard and fell all about the floor at I took a trip on a Gemini Spaceship. It was the laugh of love. I could not believe that such a talent was unrecognised... The integrity, honesty and innocent, brutal focus entranced me. I became a lifelong fan and Ziggy got a surname."
David Bowie , in Mojo 104, july 2002.
After a bunch of three singles (and an unreleased lp?) in the mid-60's, "Rock-it..." is the first complete lp of Norman Carl Odam (AKA "The Legendary Stardust Cowboy" ) with the West texas Sci-Clones and a Prairie Twist-Her, recorded the 12/31/79-01/01/80 and 06/18/81 , just released in 1984.

Of all the strange and weird-@$$ stuff i've seen and downloaded from various blogs and forums, this one has them all beat! Up to now, the strangest I had in my library was Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Now I've got The Ledge. Thanks, Amigo!

I don't wanna talk about my 2000+ VINTAGE phono's I was forced to sell some time ago, with "Rockit to Stardom" - pink original, spotless vinyl - being one of the most cherished. This truly is a godsend - sure would love to see this on CD. Head on over to youtube as there are some classic 'Ledge' vids (Radar, etc). God bless you, elsebasto!!
